You should know what's actually going on — and what to do about it.

If you've been dealing with back, neck, shoulder, or another musculoskeletal problem — and you're tired of guessing about it — you're in the right place. We start by reliably figuring out what's actually driving your problem, then we show you how to fix it and keep it from coming back.

Whether you've been through it all or this just started — you're in the right place

Maybe you've already been through it — a prescription and a vague plan, imaging that didn't explain anything, physical therapy or chiropractic that didn't hold, or a specialist who said your only options were to live with it or have a procedure. Or maybe this just started, and you're simply looking for somewhere that will actually help you get better.

Either way, the same thing matters most: whether someone reliably sorts out what's actually driving your problem in the first place. That's where we start — and it's what makes the difference between care that works and care that just keeps you busy.

What makes us different

We don't guess, and we don't lead with imaging. We use a structured, reliable assessment of how your body actually responds to specific movements and positions — and that tells us what's really driving the problem and which direction of care will help.

Then we teach you to understand it yourself. You won't just leave with an exercise.

You'll leave understanding your own problem, knowing how to work on it, and — once you're better — knowing how to keep it from coming back.

And if it turns out you need something we don't provide, we'll know early, tell you honestly, and help you get to the right place quickly.

Let's figure out what's actually going on.

If you're dealing with a musculoskeletal problem and you're ready for a clear answer, request an appointment — and we'll figure it out together.

The Same Goal You Have

We exist to reduce the incidence, prevalence, and cost of musculoskeletal problems — and the human suffering that comes with them. That is the same goal most clinicians share when they send a patient for musculoskeletal care. What distinguishes Joint and Spine Solutions is how we pursue it.

There is one question underneath almost every musculoskeletal referral: can this patient get better conservatively, or not? It is the question that should be answered before imaging, before a surgical consult, before most of what follows — and it is the one question standard assessment is least equipped to answer reliably. This is where we are most useful to you. We answer it. Mercifully, most musculoskeletal problems can be resolved conservatively when they are assessed and managed correctly — and for those patients, that is where it ends. For the smaller number who cannot, the same reliable assessment identifies them early and points to what they actually need. Either way, you get a clear answer to the question that matters most, and the patient is moving in the right direction instead of down a pathway no one was sure of. The only exception is the presentation that raises genuine concern from the start — a suspected tumor, infection, or fracture — where the right first step is imaging or a specialist, and we say so immediately.

Most musculoskeletal care begins with a guess and leans on imaging to resolve the uncertainty. We start differently: with a reliable assessment of how the problem actually behaves and responds. The published research is clear that standard musculoskeletal assessment varies widely from one clinician to the next, and that imaging, ordered before the problem is understood, frequently finds structural changes that have little to do with the patient's pain — and sends the patient down a pathway they never needed. We start with an assessment process shown in peer-reviewed research to be reliable across trained clinicians, and we let the patient's response, not an incidental imaging finding, determine the right course of care.

What This Means When You Refer to Us

When you send a patient our way, a few things are true regardless of how they arrived — referred by you, or in on their own.

We determine what is actually driving the problem before we treat it. The patient you refer is not going to receive weeks of generic, non-precise, passive treatment that takes credit for what natural history would have done anyway. They are going to be assessed reliably, managed according to what the assessment finds, and taught to understand and manage their own problem.

We don't hold on to patients who aren't responding. A conservative trial run through a reliable, quality-assured process is itself a diagnostic test — and when a patient isn't getting better under it, that is information, not a dead end. If you referred the patient to us, we bring them back to you with what we found and a clear, expert read on the most likely appropriate next step — meaningful information you can act on, whether that points toward a surgical consult, interventional pain management for an inflammatory-dominant problem, or another direction entirely. We recognize the patient who needs something else quickly — usually within the first few visits, not after months.

And when a different next step is clearly needed — a surgical consultation, interventional pain management, imaging, or another kind of care — we don't sit on it. We identify it early and communicate it clearly, with a full account of what was already found and tried. For a patient who came to us through you, that means back to you with our findings and a well-reasoned recommendation you can act on; for a patient who arrived on their own, it means a clean, well-prepared handoff to the right provider. Getting a patient to the right person — with the referring provider kept in the loop and in the driver's seat — is some of the most important work we do.

Referrals, in Both Directions

A good referral relationship runs two ways. Just as you can refer a patient to us with confidence that they will be assessed reliably and not over-treated, we rely on excellent surgeons, interventional physicians, and other clinicians for the patients whose problems call for them. We want to know the clinicians in our region who do their work at a high level, because the patients who genuinely need them deserve to get there quickly and well-prepared.

If you are a clinician, a clinic, or a group interested in how a reliable musculoskeletal front end could work alongside what you do, we would welcome the conversation.
